‘Roger ran out of time’: Federer to miss 2021 Australian Open – The Age
Roger Federer is withdrawing from the Australian Open while he continues preparing to return to action after two operations on his right knee.

Federer ultimately ran out of time to get himself ready for the rigours of a grand slam, according to Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley.
“Hes very disappointed he wont be coming to Melbourne in 2021,” Tiley said of Federer.
The Australian Open has always held a special place in his heart we wish him all the best as he prepares for his comeback later in the year, and we look forward to seeing him in Melbourne in 2022.
