Gold Coast attackers on the run after paramedic is ambushed, held at knifepoint during robbery

A knife was held to a paramedic’s throat in a sickening attack on the Gold Coast.
The incident took place around midnight on Sunday night when the officer was on his own.
They were driving back to the ambulance station when they were hailed down.
The man who stopped the ambulance is understood to have claimed their daughter was struggling to breathe.
When the paramedic began taking medical equipment from the vehicle, they were ambushed.
