Mitchell Pearce wedding cancelled amid sexting allegations – Sydney Morning Herald
The Newcastle half was due to be married on Tuesday to partner Kristin Scott in Byron Bay, but the wedding has been called off.
Pearce blamed COVID-19 for the cancellation, telling The Sunday Telegraph the issue was a private matter.
Its Covid mate, he was reported as saying in the News Corp paper. Were sorting things out. Its a really stressful time for us. Its our business, no-one elses. We havent cancelled, weve postponed. Im filthy about people spreading rumours.
Knights chief executive Philip Gardner was firm about not engaging with the matter, believing it was a private matter between Pearce and his fiancee.
