Woman’s body found floating at Scarborough beach in Perth, homicide police probe
Homicide detectives are investigating after a woman’s body was found at Perth’s Scarborough Beach early this morning.
Police were called to the surf lifesaving club around 5:30am after the body was spotted in the water.
Police said in a statement detectives from the homicide squad were on the scene “and are working to establish the identity of the woman and the cause of death.”
The beach has been closed to the public.
The cause of death is unknown.
Scarborough is one of Perth’s best-known beaches because of its large, wide strip of sand, and is popular with swimmers and surfers.
