Police treating death of five-month-old baby in Brisbane as suspicious

Detectives are speaking to a woman over the death of a five-month-old girl last month which they are now treating as suspicious.
Key points:
- The baby was seen on CCTV vision happy and well the afternoon before she died
- A post mortem examination and later inquiries led detectives to believe it was suspicious
- Police want to hear from anyone who saw the family at Buranda shopping centre on November 15
Detectives from Morningside child protection and investigation unit and specialist police from the child trauma unit are investigating.
Detective Acting Inspector Rod Watts said a 32-year-old woman was assisting police with their inquiries, but he declined to say if it was the baby’s mother.
