Home of the Underdogs was one of the biggest abandonware sites on the net. We spoke to its founder to learn about its history and importance.
Today, choice is everywhere. But at the turn of the millennium, if you couldn’t find a game in a local retailer, it basically didn’t exist. If you lived in a rural area, or a game simply wasn’t popular, then there was a time where that game practically didn’t exist. So that’s how abandonware got started – and one of the most important sites for abandonware was Home of the Underdogs.
