Ten people pulled from Warana beach on QLD Sunshine Coast after near-drowning

A drowning tragedy has been narrowly avoided at a popular Queensland beach.

Ten people had to be pulled from the water at the beach off Oceanic Drive in Warana on the Sunshine Coast on Christmas morning.

Queensland Ambulance Service was called to the beach late on Friday morning.

Three people were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, all in a stable condition.

Seven others were treated by paramedics at the scene but did not require transportation to hospital.
