A gym fanatic suffered constant nightmares as he clung to life for six weeks on a ventilator with Covid-19.
Wayne Oldham’s lungs were attacked by the killer bug, with the 46-year-old’s wife planning his funeral as doctors hooked him up to a machine which takes over the function of the heart and lungs.
The super-fit man was given a last-ditch shot at life by being hooked up to the ECMO machine as his wife was “convinced she was going to lose him”, Liverpool Echo reports.
