Bushfire emergency warning for north-eastern parts of Bullsbrook

A bushfire emergency warning is in place for people bounded by Ashton Road, Chittering Road, Smith Road and Jess Road in the north-eastern parts of Bullsbrook in City of Swan, north-east of Perth.

Residents are being told to act immediately as there is a threat to lives and homes.

About 100 firefighters are on the scene battling the blaze, which started near the intersection of Ashton Rd and Chittering Rd, about 1km away from the Royal Australian Air Force’s Pearce airbase in Bullsbrook.

What to do:

• If the way is clear, leave now for a safer place.
• Do not wait and see, leaving at the last minute is deadly.
• Close all doors and windows and turn off evaporative air conditioners, but keep water running through the system if possible.
