South-east Queensland to enjoy a cooler Christmas

“We can expect a 30 per cent chance of rainfall for places like Toowoomba.
“If there are light showers, about 5 millimetres will fall, so it will be very different than last week.
“However, there is an increased chance of rainfall north of Gympie and Harvey Bay, with decent showers expected in Mackay.”
Ms Hoff said while there was a chance of 30-degree days in the south-east, temperatures were more likely to stay in the 20s.
“Brisbane is forecasting a top of 29 degrees, and the Gold Coast, Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast will experience 27 degrees, with 29 degrees expected further inland in Ipswich,” she said.
