Woman found dead after fire tears through unit in Brisbane’s north

A woman has been found dead after a unit fire in Brisbane’s north on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Zillmere about 4pm after reports of the blaze.

The woman’s body was found after 20 firefighters attempted to gain entry to the rear of the property, Nine reported.
Paramedics assessed one patient at the scene, a man, who was transported to the Prince Charles Hospital, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.
He was in a stable condition and suffering from chest pain.
Police have established a crime scene as fire investigators work to determine the cause of the blaze.
