Surfer’s Paradise search and rescue operation underway after swimming fails to return to shore
A late-night swim at Surfer’s Paradise on the Gold Coast went awry on Sunday morning when three people entered the water but only two returned to shore about 2am.
The missing swimmer is a man.
Queensland Police are on Sunday morning coordinating a search and rescue opeartion.
Also involved are Water Police, Volunteer Marine Rescue and Rescue 500.
Of the two people who did return to shore, one was a woman was uninjured while a man was treated by Queensland Ambulance Services on the beach.
