More and more games seem to be distancing themselves from the games-as-service trend, but oftentimes, in name only. Even if a game like Borderlands 3 claims it is not a game-as-service, if youre releasing multiple DLCs spaced three months apart and throwing multiple live events to keep people playing all year long, guess what? Youre a service game.
