Queensland declares Sydney’s Northern Beaches a coronavirus hotspot after positive case travels to Sunshine Coast
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has declared Sydney’s Northern Beaches a coronavirus hotspot.
Anyone who was in the area from December 11 must quarantine for 14 days upon arrival into Queensland.
Three new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Queensland overnight, with two in hotel quarantine.
The third case is a woman from New South Wales who tested positive for the virus and travelled to Queensland’s Sunshine Coast before returning to Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
It comes after a further 10 coronavirus cases were detected in New South Wales, bringing the Northern Beaches cluster to 28.
More to come.
