Queensland police shooting victim was known to counter-terror authorities

A man shot dead by police on a busy motorway south of Brisbane had been “influenced by ISIS”, police say.
Raghe Abdi, 22, had allegedly threatened officers with a knife on the Logan Motorway at Drewvale at about 6am on Thursday.
Police said they had approached Abdi after he had posed a hazard to drivers.
“Upon seeing the male, police tried to engage him, to get him to a place of safety and away from all the moving vehicles,” Deputy Commissioner Tracy Linford said.
