Gold Coast flood: BOM issues ‘very dangerous’ thunderstorm warning for Queensland
Several Gold Coast streets are flooded after a fresh bout of severe weather, prompting an evacuation warning.
The city has been suffering heavy rainfall brought by a storm on Thursday morning, leading to roads being inundated in a number of suburbs including Nerang, Burleigh, Tallebudgera and Currumbin.
“Due to heavy rainfall, properties in the Currumbin and Tallebudgera catchments may be impacted by floodwater in the coming hours,” the City of Gold Coast said in a statement.
