Queensland man dies after being swept away in floods near NSW border

A man’s body has been found in his vehicle after both were swept away in a flash flood near the NSW border overnight.
The 69-year-old local man was moving cattle to higher ground at a property on Condamine River Road in Killarney, about 120 kilometres south-west of Brisbane, about 8.30pm on Wednesday.

Police said the man and his vehicle were swept away by sudden but rapidly rising water, and emergency services, including a swift water rescue team, searched for him.
He was was dead inside his vehicle about 100 metres downstream at 12.20am on Thursday.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
