Federal government offers help to bushfire-damaged Fraser Island
“It is not all wholesale and the south is still looking good. [I said] Do the report, find out what could have been improved and the Commonwealth stands ready to assist.”
Ms Ley was also questioned in Brisbane about the status of the vulnerable bushfire-affected koala, after announcing a national koala count and additional mapping for koalas last month.
She said she would receive the long-overdue national koala recovery plan in February after asking that research be fast-tracked.
