The Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained juvenile had been sweating on a run for the feature as the first emergency but gained a start on race day morning following the scratching of Gary Portelli’s Silver Thorn.
Gleneagles had been heavily backed since TAB.com.au opened a market for the race on Monday.
