Dozens of bright, multi-coloured shooting stars could be visible in the skies over Britain this week as an annual meteor shower streaks across the sky
The Geminids meteor shower will see multi-coloured shooting stars blaze across the sky in the early part of this week.
This years shower peaked on the 13th and 14th December, but meteors will be visible on nights either side, astronomers say.
