Wife-killer Geoffrey Adams dies a day after court reveals brain cancer diagnosis

A South Australian man who was waiting to be sentenced for killing his wife more than 45 years ago has died, correctional authorities have confirmed.

Geoffrey Adams killed his 24-year-old wife Colleen Adams at the their home at Maitland, on Yorke Peninsula, in 1973.
Her remains were not found until September 2018 — after Adams confessed to killing her.
The 72-year-old pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denied he murdered his wife.
The jury acquitted him of murder in August this year and he was awaiting sentencing.
