Grassfire threatening communities of Mt Cottrell, Truganina, Chartwell, west of Melbourne

Fire officials have been able to slow the spread of an out-of-control grassfire that is threatening the communities of Mount Cottrell, Truganina and Chartwell, west of Melbourne.
The fire is travelling in a south-westerly direction from Troups Road South towards Downing Street.
It is about 50 hectares in size and has crossed Middle Road, fire officials said.
There are more than 40 fire tankers and support vehicles on the scene, including a large water bomber.
Firefighters have been able to slow the blaze but the situation is still dangerous and can change at any time.
