The UK-developed Oxford/AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine could be available by the end of the year, a scientist has said.
Sarah Gilbert, lead researcher on the Oxford Vaccine Development Programme, said chances were pretty high of the jab being ready to administer within weeks.
She said: It depends on the age group youre in and the JCVI (Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation) prioritisations. I think the chances are pretty high.
