The Adelaide Strikers have fallen just short of a ridiculous comeback following a disastrous start to their run chase.
Chasing 175 runs to win, the Strikers appeared to be done and dusted when they fell to 9-102 and needing 73 off 34 deliveries to win.
Openers Phil Salt (8) and Jake Weatherald (1) were unable to fire the Strikers, both dismissed within the first three overs of Adelaide’s run chase.
