A college football player has cost his team a shot at the national championship by throwing away an opponent’s shoe.
Florida was a heavy favourite against LSU, who were both out of form and stricken by both COVID cases and star players opting not to play any more this season, yet the game was surprisingly tied 34-34 in the final minutes.
The Gators got a crucial stop on third down, forcing LSU to punt – except defender Marco Wilson decided now was a great time to celebrate.
