On December 21, Jupiter and Saturns orbital paths are set to cross and appear to unify on the horizon, appearing as one single shining star.
The event is called a grand conjunction and occurs roughly every two decades but 2020 will be the closest the two planets have appeared intertwined since Galileo was still alive.
