Australia likely to run out of locally grown rice next month as drought, water allocations hit farmers – ABC News
Rice farmers blame the drought and low allocations of irrigation water for a record low rice harvest in 2020. Panic-buying has also contributed to the shortage.
Fourth-generation rice farmer Barry Kirkup and his wife Gillian have found the past few years on the land harder than most.
