Second biggest change to hit the Ekka
Next year the Ekka, which was cancelled this year due to the pandemic, will open on Saturday, August 7, instead of the traditional Friday start date, to cut back on costs.Chief executive Brendan Christou said as a not-for-profit, and like many businesses whose revenues had been impacted by COVID-19, the RNA was looking at cost efficiencies.But it was the only major change, with all the favourite showstoppers back.
