Why do some Australian birds stop singing when it gets too hot?
If you’ve ever been out walking through the Australian bush on a hot summer’s day you may have noticed a conspicuous lack of bird sounds.

Just like humans, birds seek refuge during the heat of the day but there are also other physiological reasons why they stop singing when it gets too hot.
