Today we head north to Weipa for our #OnTheFrontline and profile a unique paramedic in our Service, who has spent over 16 years working in remote areas on the Cape York Peninsula.

Kelvin Moon started as an honorary ambulance officer in 2004. A Fire and Rescue Officer at a nearby mine at the time, he became interested in the QAS after a few incidents assisting the on-duty paramedic at the remote single-officer Weipa Ambulance Station.

Five years later Kelvin graduated to become a paramedic…
