According to Down Detector, the issues started at around 9am in the UK/8pm in Sydney.
The problem is affecting users across the UK, Europe, Australia and other parts of the world.
Users can compose a message, but sending and receiving is a problem.
The reason for the issue is not yet clear.
Users in the UK and Europe have also reported problems with Facebook itself as well…
