‘Taken a bit the wrong way’: New Don defends draft comments – The Age
Archie Perkins claims his controversial comments about not wanting to move interstate ahead of the AFL draft were misconstrued.

“The clubs ask you the question, so therefore I’m going to answer it. It’s not like I’ve gone out of my way to tell them that. They asked me.”
Perkins doesn’t have to worry about that anymore though. He is off to Tullamarine where he joins a familiar face in emerging star and former No.1 draft pick Andy McGrath.
“He was captain of Brighton Grammar when I was in year 8 and I’m friends with his brother so there’s a good connection there,” Perkins said.
