Brisbane traffic: Extinction Rebellion protest set to cause afternoon CBD chaos on Thursday

Brisbane commuters face afternoon traffic delays due to a “mass mobilisation” of climate activists in the city centre.
Organisers of the Extinction Rebellion protest from 4pm on Thursday are also encouraging attendees to “use civil disobedience tactics”.
Protesters plan to meet at Post Office Square, according to a Facebook page for the event.
The page calls for people to take to the “streets to disrupt the city” by “marching to occupy a major city intersection”.
