Update – Rape charges, Brisbane City

A Brisbane City man is facing more than 135 additional charges relating to sexual offences following a public appeal from police earlier this year.
In August, police investigating the alleged sexual assault of a woman in her early 20s executed a search warrant at a Mary Street address and arrested a 30-year-old local man. Several mobile phones were located, as well as video recording equipment, prescription and illicit drugs.
As a result of this search, Brisbane City Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) detectives commenced Operation Sierra Overland.
Recordings of other alleged sexual offences were found on these devices prompting police to issue an appeal for anyone who had information to come forward.
