Wipe out: 56 Brisbane restaurants that closed in 2020
While some blamed the pandemic for their end, such as celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s Jamie’s Kitchen, which had twice been saved from liquidation, others closed before COVID had even begun.
Pony Dining in Brisbane City’s famous Eagle Street Pier precinct announced its end in January, citing a huge drop in revenue as patrons left the former CBD hub in favour of dining and lifestyle precinct Howard Smith Wharves.
