Microsoft has acquired esports tournament platform, Smash.gg, in an effort to “expand their offerings” after shutting down the Mixer live streaming site.

Microsoft has acquired esports tournament platform, Smash.gg, in an effort to expand their offerings after shutting down the Mixer live streaming site.
Smash.gg, which was formed in 2015 and is popular due to being the unofficial home for fighting game esports such as Super Smash Bros., confirmed the news on its Twitter account, saying its community will still benefit from the Smash.gg platform.
