Alcohol industry says Aussies can drink at least twice as much as guidelines and stay safe – 7NEWS.com.au
The government has radically lowered the number of recommended drinks per week – the industry claims they are plain wrong.
The alcohol industrys peak body says Australians should have no faith in new official drinking guidelines and accused the governments health advisory group of cherry picking data to recommend no more than 10 standard drinks a week.
On Tuesday, the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), said adults should not drink more than 10 standard drinks a week and keep it at four on any given day in order to reduce the risk of alcohol-related health issues.
