Bathurst 1000 Champion John Harvey dies – Supercars.com

Tributes have been pouring in for 1983 Bathurst 1000 champion John Harvey who sadly passed away overnight aged 82.
The Australian motorsport great lost his battle with lung cancer on Saturday evening, his family confirmed in a statement.
Last night at 8:45 sadly our Dad, John Francis Harvey, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, his family posted to Facebook.
Most people will have fond memories of Dads amazing racing career and the great memories of him will live on forever.
