Africa’s COVID-19 cases pass 2.17 mln mark: Africa CDC_china.org.cn – China.org.cn

ADDIS ABABA, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) — The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the African continent has reached 2,170,843, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) said on Tuesday.
The continental disease control and prevention agency said in a statement that the death toll related to the pandemic stood at 51,915 as of Tuesday afternoon, while 1,840,575 people infected with COVID-19 have recovered.
