‘Perfect storm’ set to result in medical exodus at AFL clubs – The Age
AFL players and officials will also return under eased restrictions on Monday as many clubs get used to working with new medical teams.

The departure of long-serving Geelong club doctors Geoff Allen and Drew Slimmon is part of a wider trend across the competition that AFL Doctors Association president Dr Barry Rigby has called a “perfect storm” of events.
Rigby, who is Gold Coast’s club doctor, said a significant turnover in medical teams at AFL clubs was set to occur in the off-season and it was “common knowledge that there are a number of doctors within the AFL who have decided to move on”.
