Trophy seaside home prices surge – The Australian Financial Review
Property prices in popular beach locations are soaring as more buyers seek to live full-time by the seaside.
Jensen says agents will be working through the typically quieter holiday period because of the unusual level of demand.
She says many deals are off-market, such as the recent sale of a large cliff-top Portsea house with its own private jetty, which fetched about $25 million.
People cant travel overseas and they are not sure when they will be able to, Jensen says. Buyers tell me theyd normally jump into a plane for an overseas holiday, now they jump into a car to their holiday home.
