Queensland set for dangerous storms and severe heatwave

“That trough is expected to bring broad showers and thunderstorms ahead of it as it moves across the state, so eastern inland districts are expected to see showers and thunderstorms, possibly severe, from Monday into Tuesday and Wednesday as it reaches the coast.”
Brisbane was forecast to reach top temperatures of 32 to 34 degrees from Saturday through to next Tuesday, before dropping to 28 on Wednesday when the cool change arrives.
