Sacked Essendon football boss lands new gig – The Age
Former Essendon and Richmond football manager Daniel Richardson has been appointed the new head of umpiring at the AFL.

He was sacked by Essendon as part of new president Paul Brasher’s review of the club and its football operations. He had been at Essendon for three years as general manager of footy and had only weeks earlier been negotiating a new three-year contract.
The Bombers are yet to announce a replacement for Richardson with chief executive Xavier Campbell acting in the position in the interim.
