Body of canoeist found six days after going missing in Lake Alexandrina

The body of a man who went missing during a canoe trip on South Australia’s Lake Alexandrina has been found six days after searches began.

- Searchers located the body of the 31-year-old man in reeds
- He went missing last Friday along with a 19-year-old who was later treated for hypothermia
- Police said a report was being prepared for the coroner
The 31-year-old man from Brahma Lodge in Adelaide’s north was one of two people reported missing near Milang, about 15 kilometres from the Murray Mouth.
The pair had set off in an inflatable canoe on the lower lake on Friday morning.
The other man, a 19-year-old from from Elizabeth Vale, was “miraculously” found floating in the water on Friday afternoon.
