Woman arrested over fatal Point Cook house fire

Police have arrested a woman in relation to a house fire in Melbourne’s west that claimed the lives of three people, including a three-week-old baby.
The 46-year-old woman was arrested by Arson and Explosives Squad detectives in Airport West this morning, police said in a statement.
Police said it was believed the woman was known to the one of the occupants of the property.
The woman remains in police custody.
A 19-year-old woman, a 28-year-old man and a three-week-old baby girl died in the fire at Point Cook yesterday morning.
Emergency services were called to the property about 3:40am following reports of a house fire which had spread to neighbouring residences.
