A yacht has run aground at Caloundra after getting caught on a sandbar early this morning.
The two men on board refused help from police until the vessel started to take on water.
“Where the vessel rests now
is a sandbar. It’s sitting on the sand so at low tide at 6pm tonight, it will be completely high and dry and they will be able to inspect the hull and decide what to do.” – Caloundra Coast Guard, Commander Roger Pearce.Report on 7NEWS Sunshine Coast at 6pm. www.7NEWS.com.au
