Pub baron goes to war over council’s chopper ban
Robert Comiskey, 46, from Hamilton, a member of the Comiskey family who have made their fortune in hotel and property developments around the state, yesterday vowed to fight the Moreton Bay Regional Council (MBRC) in court in a bid to overturn the notice over the Sandstone Point Hotel, north of Brisbane.
“We are just astounded, we are blown away. In this day and age we should be encouraging unique styles of tourism, so this just doesn’t make any sense,” Mr Comiskey…
