Kidnapping survivor Elizabeth Smart has revealed she didn’t tell her parents about the sexual assault she endured at the hands of her captors for nearly a decade.
Smart was 14 when she was abducted from the bedroom of her home in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 5, 2002.
Her kidnappers – Brian David Mitchell and Wanda Eileen Barzee held her captive and repeatedly sexually assaulted her for nine months before she was rescued.
