Greens MP’s plan to turn parliament ‘inside out’

Delivering her maiden speech after defeating Ms Trad on October 31, South Brisbane MP Amy MacMahon said tackling poverty, inequality, climate change and the public housing crisis was her top priority – and called for support.“The reality is that if we want all Queenslanders to have access to the basics that we need to live a good life we need to turn parliament inside out,” she said.“We have to make it represent everyday people again, not big corporations.“That’s what I’m here to do.”
