Fraser Island: Kingfisher Bay Resort has closed to guests this morning with a bushfire burning around four kilometres northeast of the popular tourist destination.
76,000 hectares of land has now been burnt as
a second fire front tears through the eastern side of the island.“This fire will certainly continue to burn until we get significant rainfall, and we’re aren’t expecting any significant rainfall for another two weeks.” – QFES, Mike Wassing.
